Do you have tables and chairs?

Yes!  A great feature about the Jordan Valley Barn venue is that it comes complete with all your tables & chairs, gorgeous lighting, and practically all the decor you could want, all included in your rental of the venue.

Can we have our ceremony inside the barn?

You can choose to hold your ceremony at the outdoor ceremony site or inside the barn reception area.  If you choose to have your wedding ceremony on-site, you can use our outdoor ceremony site, which is complete with platform, electricity, garden areas, guest seating, and three beautiful arbors. Holding it inside the barn would require a “re-set” during your cocktail hour to transform your ceremony site into your reception area.

How many can the reception area hold?

The 2800 square foot reception area, with its massive hand-hewn beams, a gorgeous crystal chandelier, and strand lighting set up with guest seating for your reception, can comfortably seat up to 250.  We offer round and/or banquet style tables.  Your dance floor can be in the center of the barn or right in front of the DJ stage.

What kind of parking do you have?

We have two dedicated, fenced & lighted areas for guest parking, providing easy access to the ceremony site and barn.

Is Jordan Valley Barn suitable for elderly or handicapped guests?

Jordan Valley Barn is ADA Compliant.
For your handicapped or elderly guests…everything at our venue and in our barn is on one level…all ADA accessible with no steps.  In addition we have a golf cart to transport disabled guests to and from the ceremony site.

Can you give me more details about your on-site Guesthouse?

The on-site guesthouse has four large bedrooms with three complete baths on the upper level.  The two master en-suites have amazing views of our ceremony site and the Jordan valley.  The main level features a guest bathroom, gorgeous dining room, plus a large attached farm kitchen and a beautiful living room overlooking the valley.  Moving your Guesthouse experience outdoors, our attached 700 sq ft patio with its extra large JACUZZI provides fun and relaxation for you and your house guests.  In addition there is a spacious laundry room and “groomsmen’s garage” that is beautifully decorated and furnished.  The Guesthouse has a French-country style with all the modern conveniences.

How big is your venue property?  

Everything, including designated parking areas for guests, vendors, and the Guesthouse, is located on our woodsy thirteen acre property which borders and overlooks the Jordan river valley.  Guests enjoy  convenient access to the venue, which is located on highway M-66, just one mile south of the quaint community of East Jordan.

Is there heat inside the barn?  

If the weather turns cool, heaters are available to be rented. Our patio heaters rent for $30 per heater. LP cylinders rent for $20 each. Heaters are reserved prior to your event and our staff will have them all set up, lighting them at the appropriate time for your use.

How do you handle bar service; Do we need a liquor license?

Our “bar service package” provides our fully equipped bar with all bar utensils, wine frig, freezer for ice, city water and six tap kegerater/refrigeration unit. Jordan valley barn requires that our licensed bartenders are hired to provide bar service and that you obtain liquor liability insurance. You do NOT need to purchase a liquor license, and you may provide your own beverages, including alcohol

Do you have a wedding coordinator? 

Our “day-of” wedding coordinator is available to be contracted to be on site the entire day of your wedding and work with you ahead of time to:

  • help you design the guest and bridal party seating arrangement of your choice;
  • coordinate all your contracted vendors (ceremony officiant, photographer, photo booth, DJ, Florist, caterer, bar service, staff for set up, decorating, and clean-up) and their services on your rehearsal and wedding days;
  • design and manage the time line for all details the day of your wedding and keep everything on schedule;
  • On-site “Day-Of” wedding coordination is optional and may be contracted through our office.

Do you have staff available to help us?

Our staff can be contracted to do set up, decorating, clean up, removal of tables & chairs for dancing, on-site guest services including servicing restrooms and picking up used plates, cups & trash from guest cocktail and reception tables throughout the evening, removal of decor, packing up your personal items, and clean up of equipment used during the course of your event. This service is optional; you can do as much or as little as you want yourself.

Do you have linens?

Linen rental is required to be contracted through the JVB linen service. Linen rental is $10 per table for standard a white table linen and the approximate number of linen napkins.  Linen rental includes delivery to the venue as well as removal and return of soiled linens.

Does your venue have decor and how much does it cost to use it?

Jordan Valley Barn has lots of decor, from silk flowers, various color mason jars, shepherd hooks and votive candle holders to lanterns and battery operated candles.  There is no cost to use any of our decor items.

Can we have the on-site Guesthouse for longer than just the weekend?

If you’d like more time at the venue to decorate, relax or simply enjoy the beautiful Lake Charlevoix area, extra days in the Guesthouse can be added onto your contract.

Do you provide catering?

Jordan valley barn does not have its own catering service. We recommend many excellent caterers.  Our recommendations are based on personal experience, reliability, and the quality of service preformed.

Can we hold our rehearsal dinner on site at the venue?

With our weekend package, if your ceremony is “on-site” your rehearsal and even your rehearsal dinner can be held on-site as well.  Many couples choose to use either the Guesthouse & its attached patio area, or the barn & deck areas for their rehearsal dinner…. having a cookout or bringing in catered food.

Can we bring in our own alcohol and beverages?

You are welcome to bring in any beverages you choose. There is no surcharge or corking fees for providing your own alcohol at Jordan Valley Barn.

Can we use our dog in our ceremony at your venue?

Of course!  Using your pet can be lots of fun. However, we do not allow guests to bring pets to the venue.

What’s included in your weekend package?

  • With our weekend package, you have the on-site Guesthouse from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon;
  • Our majestic barn from 9am to midnight the day of your event (the weekend package also receives use of the barn on Friday for decorating & rehearsal)
  • All tables & chairs, marquee, chandelier & string lighting, free use of our vast array of decor, vintage furnishings, cocktail tables guest seating on our deck & patio areas, and furnishings in our lounges;
  • Reception tables & chairs (including set up & tear down by JVB staff);
  • The outdoor ceremony site with guest seating;

How much does a wedding at Jordan Valley Barn cost?

Our prices range from a one-day rental at $3,500 to $6,900 for a weekend package.

How much do you have to put down to secure a date?

A deposit of 25% secures your date.

Do you have a payment plan?

Our payment plan is four payments of 25% spaced equally; the first one is due at reserving your date; the final one is due three mo this prior to your wedding date.

Do you give discounts?

We offer an active military discount.

Is use of the ceremony site for rehearsal included?


How many guests does seating at the ceremony site accommodate?

Our ceremony site has wooden pews with seating for up to 250.
